AKIRA early 2000's silk ruffle halter top

Description: Early 2000's, 100% silk ruffle wrap top. Layers of cream silk ruffles, sewn onto a piece of fabric that wraps around neck and fastens by a tie at the back. True and distinctive of Akira pieces as seen and marked through his career in both the S/S 2001 runway and 2005 costume design for the Sydney Dance Company. This piece is considered archival and is super rare and collectable.

Composition: 100% silk.

Labelled size: O/S fits all.

Fits like: Aus size 6 - 12.

Measurements: (laid flat, fastened & unstretched). Entire length of top (from back tie to back tie): 38”/96.5cm, back tie length: 23”/58cm.

Condition: In excellent vintage condition. Silk intact. Nil pulls or holes. Slight yellow discolouring to the end/tips of back ties. Only noticeable upon close inspection.
