ABOUT US
Zinc is a family-run business based in Melbourne, Australia. With over a decade of collecting and curating vintage, we have developed a clear focus and identity centred around Australian fashion — Australian designers, Australian archival pieces and Australian-made garments.
Every piece is hand-picked by us, with a focus on quality, provenance and a genuine connection to the clothing we sell. We believe vintage clothing is more than something to wear; it is a way to explore the people, design and stories that have shaped Australian fashion.
Today, you can experience Zinc in three different ways — online, at our Archival store in Melbourne CBD, and at our Brunswick store.
Online
Our online store is a deeper dive into Australian fashion history. Each chapter tells a story, exploring the diverse range of Australian fashion — from elevated basics and everyday vintage to Australian designers and bold archival pieces.
It is a space to discover pieces from across different eras and styles, celebrating Australian fashion and giving these garments the opportunity to live again.
Zinc Australian Archival — Melbourne CBD
Opened in 2026, our Archival store is a small and intimate space dedicated exclusively to Australian designer clothing.
Located at Level 8, Suite 18, 37 Swanston Street, Melbourne, the store specialises in Australian designer pieces from 1992–2006.
Alongside a carefully selected range of Australian designers, we specialise in the work of Akira Isogawa and Collette Dinnigan, with a particular focus on pieces that reflect their distinctive contribution to Australian fashion during this era.
Each garment is selected for its design, quality and place within Australian fashion history, offering a more focused experience for those looking to discover truly distinctive archival pieces.
Zinc Brunswick
Founded in 2023, our Brunswick store, located at 56 Sydney road is a warm space with a relaxed atmosphere, the racks are filled with consciously chosen vintage pieces spanning a range of eras, styles and designers. Stocking both masculine and feminine pieces.
