CHAPTER 2

AKIRA'S COLOUR PALETTE

Australian nature is very distinctive from the rest of the world’s. I thought the colours here represent it specifically.
- Akira Isogawa, Designer, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, 2009

Seen as inspiration for Chapter 2, Akira’s colour palette outlines a beautiful silhouette for

how our climate and bold landscape reflects Australian style.

It can be obscure, electric and diverse.

Shot with one model, against cascading rock faces and sparse landscape, we hope to highlight colour and structure as vital elements of Australian fashion history.
